This Refund Policy explains how subscription cancellation, renewal, refunds, and billing-related matters are handled for Compliance Manager Plus ("CMP"), a business-to-business Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product owned and operated by Lynxes Solutions Pvt Ltd.
Where Paddle processes a transaction, Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record and handles applicable payment processing, taxes, transaction billing, refunds, and related payment-support functions.
This policy should be read together with the CMP Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and the applicable Paddle terms.
1. Subscription Purchases
CMP provides access to its software through subscription plans.
Before completing a purchase, customers will be shown applicable:
- Subscription plan;
- Billing frequency;
- Subscription period;
- User/seat limits;
- Included features;
- Usage limits;
- Price; and
- Applicable taxes or charges.
2. Paddle as Merchant of Record
For transactions processed through Paddle, Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record.
Paddle handles applicable:
- Payment processing;
- Transaction billing;
- Recurring charges;
- Applicable taxes;
- Payment receipts;
- Refund processing;
- Payment disputes; and
- Related buyer-support functions.
3. Subscription Cancellation
Customers may cancel an eligible subscription through the Paddle Customer Portal or another cancellation method provided for their transaction.
Unless otherwise specified, cancellation:
- Stops future renewal charges; and
- Does not automatically refund amounts already paid for the current subscription period.
Access may continue until the end of the paid subscription period unless the subscription is terminated earlier under the Terms of Service.
4. Automatic Renewal
CMP subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled before the applicable renewal date.
The renewal frequency will be displayed during checkout.
Monthly subscriptions generally renew monthly, while annual subscriptions generally renew annually.
5. Template and Storage Purchases
In addition to subscription plans, CMP may offer in-product purchases. The price and billing basis of each purchase will be displayed before the purchase is completed.
Audit Templates
Individual audit templates may be offered as one-time purchases. A one-time purchase is not a subscription and does not renew. Access to a purchased template is granted to the purchasing organization once the payment is confirmed, and remains available while the organization holds an active CMP account.
Because a purchased template is digital content made available immediately, one-time template purchases are generally non-refundable once access has been granted, except where a refund is required by applicable law or the applicable Paddle policy, the purchase was charged incorrectly or duplicated, or the template cannot be accessed because of a problem that cannot reasonably be resolved.
Additional Storage
Additional storage may be added to an active subscription. It is billed on the same billing frequency as the subscription and renews with it. Charges for storage added during a billing period may be prorated, and the applicable amount will be displayed before the change is completed.
Additional storage may be reduced or removed at any time. Removing storage stops future charges for it but does not automatically refund amounts already paid.
6. Refunds
Because CMP is a digital SaaS service, payments are generally non-refundable, except where:
- A refund is required by applicable law;
- A refund is required under the applicable Paddle policy;
- A transaction was charged incorrectly or duplicated;
- A significant technical or product issue cannot reasonably be resolved; or
- A refund is otherwise approved under the applicable transaction terms.
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer or statutory rights.
7. Statutory and Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove or restrict mandatory rights available under applicable law.
Where a customer has statutory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or other consumer rights, those rights will continue to apply.
8. Technical or Product Problems
If a customer experiences a significant technical problem preventing access to CMP or a material product defect, the customer should first contact .
Lynxes Solutions Pvt Ltd will make reasonable efforts to:
- Investigate the issue;
- Restore access;
- Correct the issue; or
- Provide another reasonable resolution.
If the issue cannot reasonably be resolved, refund eligibility may be considered under the applicable Paddle policy, subscription terms, and applicable law.
9. Duplicate or Incorrect Charges
If you believe you have been:
- Charged more than once;
- Charged an incorrect amount;
- Charged for an unauthorized subscription or purchase; or
- Charged in error,
contact .
For Paddle-processed transactions, customers may also use Paddle's buyer-support mechanism.
10. Failed Payments
If a recurring payment fails due to an expired payment method, insufficient funds, bank rejection, incorrect payment information, or another payment-processing issue, Paddle may retry the payment or take other actions permitted under its applicable procedures.
CMP may restrict or suspend access if the subscription remains unpaid.
11. Upgrades and Downgrades
CMP may provide options to upgrade or downgrade subscription plans.
Applicable pricing and billing treatment will be displayed before the change is completed.
Where Paddle manages the subscription, applicable charges, credits, or billing adjustments will be handled through the applicable Paddle mechanisms.
12. Free Trials
Where CMP offers a free trial:
- The trial duration will be clearly displayed;
- Any conversion to a paid subscription will be disclosed before signup;
- Customers may cancel according to the applicable cancellation mechanism; and
- Customers will not be charged for a paid subscription unless the applicable charging terms were clearly disclosed.
13. Refund Method
Where an eligible refund is approved for a Paddle-processed transaction, it will generally be returned through the original payment method where possible.
The time required for a refund to appear may depend on Paddle, the payment method, the customer's financial institution, and banking networks.
14. Fraud and Refund Abuse
Refund requests may be reviewed to prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate claims, or unauthorized transactions.
Refunds may be denied where permitted by applicable policy or law in cases involving fraud or refund abuse.
Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
15. Termination for Policy Violations
CMP may suspend or terminate a subscription for:
- Material violation of the Terms of Service;
- Fraudulent activity;
- Unauthorized access;
- Security threats;
- Illegal use;
- Abuse of the Services; or
- Unpaid subscription fees.
Any refund following termination will be handled according to applicable law, the Terms of Service, applicable subscription terms, and applicable Paddle policy.
16. Business Customers
CMP primarily provides B2B SaaS services.
Business customers may be subject to commercial subscription terms agreed at checkout or under a separate written agreement.
Mandatory rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
17. Changes to This Policy
Lynxes Solutions Pvt Ltd may update this Refund Policy from time to time.
The updated version will be published with a revised Last Updated date.
